Canada Man / Woman Triathlon
Cancelled in 2020, the Lac-Mégantic extreme triathlon is roaring back. With fall colours in the background, the last climb to the observatory is sure to reveal even more extreme conditions. The Canada Man / Woman is part of the XtriWorldTour world series of extreme triathlons and claims to be the ultimate long distance triathlon! It pays tribute to the Canadian builders who knew how to adapt to the harsh elements of nature and make the forest and the expanses of Quebec their land of subsistence and belonging.
The start of this second edition of the Vendée Arctique – Les Sables d’Olonne has been given on Sunday June 12. Then 25 solo sailors head off on a course which is about 3,500 nautical miles. Whilst the Vendée Globe heads south across the Equator, on this race the solo skippers head northwards towards the Arctic Circle. They will then round to the north of Iceland passing clockwise or anti-clockwise depending on the weather outlook. Follow the race on a daily basis on HorizonSports.
