Vendée Globe 2024 starts November 10th. To date, the Vendée Globe is the greatest sailing race round the world, solo, non-stop and without assistance. The boats of the Vendée Globe all measure 18,28 m long (60 feet) for a 4,50 m draught. With a large sail area, they are the most powerful monohulls of the planet led by a solo skipper. They can go beyond 30 knots in downwind conditions. The gauge of these race animals is defined by the IMOCA class (International Monohull Open Class Association), founded in 1991 and supported by World Sailing, the International Sailing Federation. 40 boats will leave Les Sables d’Olonne, only one will win.

Gerrard Gosens is set to become the first totally blind person to attempt the daunting 34+ km swim from Dover in the UK to Cape Gris-Nez in France. Battling the cold and unpredictable waters of the English Channel, Gerrard faces not only the rough conditions but also the need to swim in synchronization with his team of guide swimmers, Hayden, Phil, Jo, Rosie, Alexis, and Sarah by his side.

E-Mountain Bike World Cup 2024 Rd7&8 Monaco 
Welcome to WES World E-Bike Series Round 7 and 8, for the Season Finale at the Col de Turini, in France. A new venue this year, as WES keeps exploring iconic MTB locations in the Départment of the Alpes-Maritimes, also known as a stage of the famous car Rally of Monaco. This brand-new track designed by WES is 2.9 km in length, 8 laps for men and 7 for women, for a total climbing of 1200 m.

Ötztaler Radmarathon 2024
The Ötztaler myth. Every year, around 4,000 racing cyclists have a dream: to finish the most demanding cycling marathon in the Alps. The circuit leads on 227 kilometers from Sölden over 4 alpine passes (Kühtaisattel, Brenner-, Jaufenpass and Timmelsjoch) to South Tyrol and back again. The participants master unbelievable 5,500 meters of altitude, the fastest among them reaching the finish line in a record time of just over seven hours.

Dakota has been running trails ever since he found that trail running wasn’t nearly as competitive as road running, and that it might give him a shot at being famous. He still isn’t famous, but it turns out he really likes exploring wild places on foot. Indeed, this unexpected appreciation of nature has resulted in him doing all kinds of complicated things in order to try to save the environment, like taking a cargo ship across the ocean and being a pain in the ass at potlucks by not eating meat.

Golden Trail World Series 2024 Race Recaps – Episode 4
Sierre Zinal & Tatra Sky Marathon
The long-standing Sierre-Zinal in Switzerland is the fifth race of the season and is included in the European trip along with the sixth race, the Tatra Sky Marathon in Poland. The route from Sierre to Zinal is called “La Course des cinq 4 000” because along the route runners can admire views of 5 peaks over  4 000 m high. A first time race in Poland, the Tatra Sky Marathon is held on the Polish side of the Tatras in Kościelisko one week after Sierre Zinal.

E-Mountain Bike World Cup 2024 Rd1&2 Trentino
Welcome to UCI WES (World E-Bike Series) Round 1 and 2 in Trentino, Alto Garda, for the UCI E-MTB XC World Cup Season Opener. First time ever in the astonishing Dolomites mountain area in northern Italy, well-known for its tradition in e-biking, MTB and cyclo-tourism. Best Via Ferrata in the Julian Alps
Just about an hour’s drive from Ljubljana airport, Prisojnik, or Prisank as it’s also called is a beautiful 2,547m mountain in Slovenia’s Julian Alps. This one-day via Ferrata route is a must-do since it presents an excellent hiking and climbing challenge, but also offers all of the views you’d even want. To get to its summit Cris and Viv hiked, scrambled, climbed, and even crawled on their stomachs at points, but the views in the end and the feeling of satisfaction that came after made it all worthwhile.

Road To One Water Race 2024
One Water Race is an endurance race based on Running, Swimming and Orienteering. 7 mixed teams of 4 athletes have to cross the Stockholm-Sweden archipelago from North to South in a non-stop 250 km race with 200 km of running and 50 km of swimming. They have to completely handle their navigation including in the darkness. Road to One Water Race helps us to discover the athletes and what is at stake in this crazy event.

Qatar Airways GKA Kite Park League World Championships 2024

While there are many great kiteboarding locations around the globe, perhaps one of the most historical and elusive is that of Hood River, Oregon, the birthplace of park riding and the pinnacle force that sustains its continuation. The event crowns the year’s Qatar Airways GKA Kite Park League World Champions 2024 in both men’s and women’s divisions.

The Outdoor Sports Show 2024 – Episode 8

Nadelhorn Via Normal Route – The Best Alpine Experience
Cris and Viv are hiking to the summit of Nadelhorn (4,327 m), which lies in the Mischabel group in Switzerland. We follow their adventure from the village of Saas-Fee to the Mischabel Hut, a mountain hut that lies at an elevation of 3,340 meters and that has beautiful views of Lenzspitze, Dom, Nadelhorn, Weissmies, and many other 4000-meter peaks. And finally after having crossed the Hohbalmgletscher, they go over the North-East ridge to get to the summit of Nadelhorn which offers superb views of the Alps and their summits such as the Weisshorn and the famous Matterhorn.

Inside Atlas Mountain Race
The Atlas Mountain Race is a 1300 km fixed route, unsupported, single-stage ultra cycling race that starts in Marrakesh, crosses the Moroccan Atlas before taking riders through the Anti-Atlas and on to Essaouira. The clock does not stop and there are no prizes. It follows gravel, single and double track and old colonial pistes that have long been forgotten and fallen into disrepair. There is very little tarmac. We follow Josh during his adventure and suffering on this ultra cycling challenge.

Golden Trail World Series 2024 Race Recaps – Episode 2 Zegama
The Zegama-Aizkorri marathon is the third race of the Golden Trail World Series. Zegama is in the northern end of the Pyrenees and It has its own language and unique culture. The race is one of the most popular in the world because of the insane crowd. Fans of trail running come every year on the famous part of the race from Sancti Spiritu segment to the Aizkorri summit to support and cheer on the runners. The race’s distance is 42 km with 2736 meters of accumulated height gain.

Wild Capraia Island – Discovering the trails 

We discover some of the amazing trails around the untouched island of Capraia  -hiking through the hilly terrain with goats, bees and glorious views as we sample an incredible selection of trails……

X-out Montenegro
X-out Montenegro is part of the Xtri World Tour. Athletes starts with a 1.7 km open-water course.15% of athletes will be eliminated by the Xekutioner, intensifying the competition. Eliminated athletes are given a time penatly and can then try to catch “The Splitter” to overtake backmarkers and get back in the race! Then a tough and demanding 40 km asphalt cycle which climbs the famous serpentine above Kotor. Designed to test endurance to the max. Another 15% of athletes are eliminated by the Xekutioner here, ensuring only the toughest stay. Finally 6.5 km of downhill trail running and 2.5 km of “vertical” monster climbing. Again eliminated athletes have the opportunity to catch the leaders.
