Super League Triathlon – Malta 2018 – Women Equalizer
All the action from the Women’s Equalizer competition from Super League Triathlon Malta. Agility, power and relentless effort are the foundations of an athlete’s success in The Equalizer. This two-stage race begins with an individual time trial, which exposes the athlete strengths and weaknesses in the individual sport. Athletes will need to push hard in this first stage, as they will pay a ‘penalty’ for any time lost on the individual effort as they head into the second stage. This second stage’s swim-bike-run-swim-bike-run sequence will see the athletes head off at different time intervals determined by their part one finishing position.
Cervinia Nordic Opening
Icarus Team has flown high : in Breuil-Cervina where the 2019-2020 season of cross country skiing starts. We meet with two top athletes from Valle d’Aosta : Federico Pellegrino and Francesco de Fabiani during their training at the foot of Mount Cervino.
ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Engadin 2020
The first ÖTILLÖ Swimrun World Series race since the Covid pandemic showed some amazing performances along this very challenging race course in the Swiss Alps of the Engadin Valley. The Engadin valley was the perfect stage for this show down as it is the location that launched the international swimrun movement back in 2014. The imposing mountains, the emarald-colored lakes and the grueling course pushed all teams to the maximum.
The Classic on the Walls
The Cipressa is famous for being the final climb and descent to the coast before arriving at San Remo for the finish of the Milano-San Remo race. The curves have concrete walls on which painters have spray painted memories of past champions. Nicolo Bonifazio, a pro rider who holds one of the Cipressa descent records and has participated in many Milano- Remo races presents the murals and introduces the cycling tunnels with their memory lane paintings and pictures.
