The High, the toughest race on earth, 2019 Muscat Marathon, new episode of Walks around Britain and the film Committed II on HorizonSports this week.

The High

THE HIGH is a feature length documentary film about the making of the longest high altitude foot race in the world. The film follows the path of a group of extreme runners who individually decide to take part of a dangerous running experiment gone wrong. Indian race director Rajat Chauhan works against the advice of the military, his family and friends to create a race over the two highest passes in the world (above 17,500ft). Brought to life by archive footage, story recreations, and interviews, the film unfolds the events in the Himalayas of Northern India and gives a unique look into the lives of the extreme marathon runners involved. Uncovering the avalanches, athletes, and the high altitude elements. Directed by Barry Walton.

2019 Muscat Marathon

The 2019 Al Mouj Muscat (Al Mouzi) Marathon in Oman capital served up a course in stunning surroundings on fast, flat terrain that would hopefully see many personal best performances. Runners enjoyed coastal views on the palm tree lined section to Seeb, alongside a beach lined with traditional fishing boats, the refreshing greenery of the route through Al Mouj Golf, and the majestic architecture of a new mosque adjacent to the course.
Walks around Britain – Borsdane Wood and Kenmore Hill
Andrew takes us in an easy walk in the area of Wigan across the Bordane Wood. It’s a great place to walk with friends and dogs. The second walk is a beautiful walk in Perkshire in the north west of England and Scotland. Andrew climbs the Kenmore Hill with daughter and dogs and offers us a great scenic view on Loch Tay and surrounding hills.
